The National Gallery holds a unique collection of Socialist Realist Art in the exhibition: “Creation of the Models of the New Man (1960 – 1989).”
Conceived and executed as propaganda – the art of the dictatorship, the Communist icon of the workers and the mechanized age as the collective ‘myth’ of the future.
Noted artists are: Kristaq Rama, Muntaz Dhrami, Zef Shoshi, Pandi Mele, Myrteza Fushekati, Petro Kokushta, Clirim Ceka.
